Child and Family Services provide a continuum of closely integrated programs for infants, children, and their families through early intervention and early childhood mental health services. These vitally important programs help children who are experiencing social-emotional or developmental delays to develop the skills they lack, thereby enhancing their readiness for school, ability to reach other developmental milestones, and ability to gain other necessary skills later in life. Las Cumbres is also committed to a “wraparound” model of support, to offer families as wide an array of treatments as possible for all family members, minimizing their need to seek help from multiple agencies/providers.

Las Cumbres is known for its emphasis on supporting healthy caregiver/child relationships as the most effective way to ensure healthy development. The heart of all the Child and Family Services programs is this relationship-based philosophy and the staff’s commitment to families over time. The vast majority of the agency’s direct service clients are low-income and have no access to transportation of their own, Services are provided in four counties, Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, and Taos.
