At the end of 2022, Las Cumbres received a record number of public and private grant awards, as well as a range of state and federal contracts. As always, we are grateful for the trust of our funders, and we look forward to building and strengthening programs to serve our New Mexico communities.
Private Grants from Foundations
New Awards

$10,000 from the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s Santa Fe Baby Fund to support Conjunto Preschool. The grant will fund teacher trainings and expanded use of mindfulness curricula, along with general operating supports.
Continued Funding
$90,000 from the Brindle Foundation for Las Cumbres’ ¡Que Cute! Healthy Baby program and Behavioral Health team. The ¡Que Cute! Healthy Baby program’s Semillas de Esperanza (Seeds of Hope) initiative will use funds to support groups for mothers with perinatal mood disorders and coordinate services with LCCS behavioral health staff.
$20,000 from the Doris Goodwin Walbridge Foundation to support Las Cumbres’ Santuario del Corazón program.
Federal and State Contracts
New Funding
$380,000 per year for five years for a Survivors of Torture grant from the Office of Refugee Resettlement at the federal Health and Human Services Department. These funds are being used to support the establishment of a Bernalillo office for Las Cumbres’ Walking in Grace with Survivors of Torture (WINGS) and the delivery of client services.
Continued Funding
$130,001 for the first year of a seven-year award from Los Alamos County. Funds will support the continuation of services on Nugget Street, including infant, early childhood, and youth and caregiver groups and workshops, drop-in services, and scheduled services with developmental specialists and other Las Cumbres specialists.
A renewed FIT/EI contract from the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department, extending from FY 23-25. Funds will support programming in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba and Los Alamos counties.
Individual and Small Business Donations
This year, Las Cumbres increased donations to our Safety and Stability Flex Fund emergency discretionary fund. One hundred percent of these funds are used to support families’ basic expenses when no other resources are available.
