Las Cumbres Community Services Staff Honored at Employee Appreciation Event

On July 19, Las Cumbres Community Services (LCCS) leadership hosted an employee appreciation event for all agency staff and contractors, at the beautiful Delancey Street Foundation in Ohkay Owingeh. Over 120 LCCS employees and contractors were in attendance.

It had been many years since we were able to bring everyone together in person on this scale, and never before have staff been recognized agency-wide for their outstanding contributions to Las Cumbres. Length of Service and Spirit Awards were presented to individuals to recognize their tenure and unique talents. 37 individuals were presented awards for 10 or more years of service to the agency, the longest of which is 37 years!

Everyone who attended received a Las Cumbres hoodie and memorably, applied temporary tattoos representing the year LCCS was incorporated as a nonprofit – 53 years ago in 1971. A fully catered meal and gorgeous landscape was enjoyed by all, supported by the outstanding professionalism of the Delancey Street staff.

Many staff and contractors met in person for the first time, due to the growth of the agency into five counties and eight facilities in Taos, Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, Santa Fe, and most recently, Bernalillo counties. We enjoyed the beauty of connecting with one another and the sacred land and honored our contributions to the communities of northern NM, deepening our pride for being part of this incredibly special organization.

Las Cumbres values our staff and contractors as our most valuable resource. We know that sincerely honoring our professionals fuels great work done with compassion and integrity. Thank you to our donors who offer unrestricted funds and donations that make events like this possible!
