Agency Seeks Family Infant Toddler Early Intervention Contractors to Join Dynamic Team
Las Cumbres is home to an enterprising and innovative early intervention program dedicated to promoting well-being for families with infants and toddlers up to age 3 - children who have an established condition or are at risk for developmental delays. As part of the agency’s Infant and Early Childhood Department, Our longstanding Family Infant Toddler (FIT) Early Intervention (EI) program strengthens the capacity of families and their children with assessment, education and intervention.
We are currently looking for talented occupational, speech and language and physical therapist contractors to complement our existing FIT/EI team. Professional developmental therapist contractors work in tandem with FIT/EI Developmental Specialists to provide for children with special needs.
We believe in the power of personal workability. Contractors can work as much or as little as they’d like, allowing them to strike the perfect work-life balance. With a focus on flexibility,
we offer the freedom for contract therapists to design their schedule and work on personally outlined terms, whether it's part-time or full-time. Contractors have the opportunity to work remotely though services are typically held in the client’s home, community, or in one of our offices, depending on family comfort and need.
As with most all agency programs, Las Cumbres’ FIT program is recognized as a model for innovative and effective approaches to promotion, prevention, and treatment services in the culturally diverse and rural/frontier areas of Northern New Mexico. All programs are dedicated to recruiting culturally attuned staff to serve the community, recognizing that cultural competency goes far beyond speaking a family’s native language. All team members consider the unique beliefs and cultural values of each family when engaging them at the point of referral and delivering their services. FIT/EI services have been provided by Las Cumbres since 1982 in Los Alamos and Rio Arriba Counties, expanding to Santa Fe County in early 2017.
