Thank You For a Remarkable 2019

Las Cumbres Community Services had many successes in 2019 thanks to our donors, volunteers, and partners who made our services possible. We cannot thank you enough for making it possible for us to work in the community.

Of course Las Cumbres could not do the amazing work we do without an incredible staff. You all are ever so passionate and inspiring in the work you do. Every day you fill us with motivation and drive to make the world a better place. Thank you for touching the hearts of thousands throughout the year.

Lost Generation - Grandparent Raising Grandchildren

Uploaded by Rio Arriba Community Health Council on 2016-12-30.

At a time when older adults should be making plans to live on fixed incomes and simplifying their lives they are finding themselves raising another child. A surge of grandparent raising their grandchildren has happened in the last decade. Multiple factors have contributed to this issue and many children are blessed to have grandparents willing to take on the role of parent for the second time in their lives. This means retirement is now on hold. Las Cumbres Community Services has created a program, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, to help support adults who have taken on the responsibility of raising their grandchildren. The Grandparent Raising Grandchildren Program provides support, resources, and discussion topics to foster the growth and well-being of grandparents who are the primary caregivers to their grandchildren in Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, and Taos counties. If you, or someone you know is in need of support for raising their grandchildren please Naomi Diamond for Rio Arriba and Santa Fe Counties. Candy Allen for Taos County. Please support this program by donating at bottom of story.
